The BCS is missing. (BCS_MISSING)
Check the BCS ECU. Also check other systems on the yellow or red CAN bus for related DTCs.
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
When the DTC is active, the ACS malfunction warning will be active and the system will enter limp home mode.
Diagnostic depth
The DTC becomes active when the ACS has not received a specific message from the BCS for 6 seconds. The DTC is not stored during IgnitionOff, EngineStart HighVoltage or if DTC no 0016 (hex) COO_MISSING is active. The DTC is not set to active if the diagnostic command “disable normal transmission” is active. The DTC becomes inactive when the ACS has received the specific message from the BCS.
The BCS is not working correctly or it has lost connection to CAN. Red or yellow CAN failure.
