No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
If the failure occurs during driving, the ACS malfunction warning will be active and the system will enter limp home mode. As soon as ignition has been turned off, the ACS will not wake up until the failure has been repaired. In this case the ICL will activate a red ACS alarm based upon timeout. There will not be any torque limitation.

Detection
The DTC becomes active if the 15 signal on pin is missing and at the same time the CAN message BCS message 2 says that the 15 relay is active for 10 seconds. The DTC becomes inactive if there is 15 signal on pin for at least 10 seconds.
Possible cause
Open circuit on 15 signal to ACS.
