Electrical error on Orange CAN bus (CAN1 BusOff)

â–¶ How to fix

• Check connector for Orange CAN bus on ACS (pin A9 and A12). • Check wiring for Orange CAN bus: - Measure the resistance (with the battery disconnected) between CAN-high (pin A12) and CAN-low (pin A9). It should be close to 60 ohm (one 120 ohm termination resistor in each end of the CAN-bus). - Measure the resistance (with the battery disconnected) between CAN-high on ACS (pin A12) and CAN-high on any other unit (e.g. ACSX) on the orange CAN bus. It should be close to zero ohm. - Measure the resistance (with the battery disconnected) between CAN-low on ACS (pin A9) and CAN-low on any other unit on the orange CAN bus. It should be close to zero ohm. • Check wiring and connector for the ignition signal (pin A11) on the ACS.

Detection

The CAN-controller of the orange CAN bus has entered state bus-off, which indicates a communication error. There is a short circuit on the orange CAN bus.

Possible cause

• Defect connectors on ACS for Orange CAN bus (pin A9 or A12). • Defect wiring for CAN bus, open circuit on CAN-high (pin A12) or CAN-low (pin A9). • Ignition signal (pin A11) on ACS is short circuit to supply.
