Reductant pump motor speed indicates that the motorboard interrupts the pump operation too much

â–¶ How to fix

1. Use the diagnostic tool to run the dosing test with max dosing on the downstream dosing unit, log the maximum reductant pressure measured. 2. If there is a high pressure issue somewhere in the system the pump will turn off and the test will fail 3. if the test fails, run the pump flow test 4. If fault remains, check the harness and connectors between the EEC control unit (E67) and the reductant pump (V183) for electrical failure. 5. if the pump flow test is ran without issues, if prevoiously logged pressure is below the limit replace filters, otherwise troubleshoot the return line 6. Verify that the fault is gone with the dosing test with max dosing on the downstream dosing unit 4. If no electrical failure in the harness or connectors are found, or if the filter replacement did not solve the issue change the pump.

Detection

Reductant pump motorboard sends a predfined faultmode indicator over the feedback pin.

Possible cause

1. The reductant pump (V183) motor speed sensor has an electrical failure. 2. The reductant pump (V183) motor has an electrical failure. 3. There is a fault in the control signal from the EEC control unit (E67) to the reductant pump (V183) 4. The internal software in the pump has detected a blockage and turned off to protect the hardware 5. The pump has turned off due to incorrect operating voltage, too high or too low
