EEC restarted by a watchdog that is monitoring software activities
1. Do a spare part programming of the EEC control unit with the diagnostic tool and cycle the ignition once. 2. If the the spare part programming does not help, contact Scania Helpdesk.
What you'll see
Other ECU's that are dependent of information from the EEC (E67) may validate Timeout DTC's during the restart of the EEC
System reaction
The ECU computer is restarted to obtain a known state of functionality This DTC is validated in the drive cycle after the fault has occured
Diagnostic depth
The EEC (E67) system have certain checkpoints in the computer activities that are being verified by the monitor for correctness of order and timing. If the computer does not fulfill the predefined condition regarding order or timing then the monitor considers this as a fault and resets the EEC
The cause may be a temporary random ECU hardware fault The cause may be a permanent ECU hardware fault The cause may be a computer rescource overload See Technical Information (TI) for the software version.
