Implausible signal from steered tag axle flow sensor
• Check power supply and ignition signal to the chassi expansion unit * Check wiring to hydraulic flow sensor * Check connector to hydraulic flow sensor * Measure the sensor voltage on the chassi expansion unit between signal (pin C9) and ground (pin A3) • Check CAN connection to expansion unit • Check wiring and connectors for the expansion CAN-bus • Measure the resistance (with the battery disconnected) between pins CAN_H and CAN_L. It should be approximately 60 ohm (one 120 ohm termination resistor in each end of the CAN-bus).
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
• Functions dependent on the hydraulic flow sensor are degraded.
Diagnostic depth
If the flow sensor indicates flow before the (FV626) and Ignition signal X15 is off during 7 sec. before Ignition signal X15 is on . This is a plaus test.
*Defect wiring - open circuit on the chassi expansion unit between pin C9 (signal) and pin A3 (ground) - short circuit to supply voltage * Defect connectors * Defect steering valve
