Invalid BIC-program

1. Start BICT in edit mode. 2. Check for validation errors in BICT. 3. Write BIC-program to the control unit. 4. Check that DTC is inactive. 5. If DTC still active contact Scania helpdesk

System reaction
The BIC-program are disabled and there is an amber “BWE malfunction”-warning shown in the instrument cluster.

The BIC-program in the ECU is invalid.
Possible cause
•The BIC-program contains a syntax error. •The checksum of the BIC-program is wrong. •The number of logic diagrams in the BIC-program exceeds the maximum limit. This is possibly due to a mismatch between the BICT-application and the executing element in the ECU or a corruption of the memory that stores the BIC-program in the ECU.
