DTC › BCI1 BCI1 / 026C

Steered Tag axle low flow for more than 2 seconds.

â–¶ How to fix

• Check power supply and ignition signal to the chassi expansion unit • Check wiring to steering valve and hydraulic flow sensor • Check connectors to steering valve and hydraulic flow sensor • Measure the voltage on the chassi expansion unit between pin B7 (signal) and pin B10 (ground) when steering valve is open. • Measure the sensor voltage on the chassi expansion unit between signal (pin C9) and ground (pin A3) • Check CAN connection to expansion unit • Check wiring and connectors for the expansion CAN-bus • Measure the resistance (with the battery disconnected) between pins CAN_H and CAN_L. It should be approximately 60 ohm (one 120 ohm termination resistor in each end of the CAN-bus).

What you'll see

No driver-visible symptom recorded.

System reaction

• Functions dependent on the steering valve or the hydraulic flow sensor might be degraded.

Diagnostic depth

Detection

The DTC is set active if: - the engine is on and there is no flow. - the steering valve is open and not exercising the shift valve. The DTC is not set in the following cases: • ignition is turned off • first 2 seconds after ignition on • short circuit or open circuit on the expansion CAN bus

Possible cause

* Defect wiring - open circuit on the chassi expansion unit between pin B7 (signal) and pin B10 (ground) - open circuit on the chassi expansion unit between pin C9 (signal) and pin A3 (ground) - short circuit to supply voltage * Defect connectors * Defect steering valve * Defect hydraulic flow sensor
