Cooling system self-test failed - check functionality of heater, battery in/outlet temperature sensors and valve
• Run the heater and valve diagnostic test with SDP3. If the test is successful there are no real error and the DTC can be erased. If not proceed with the following steps. • Check if error code 0313 can be found. If so, perform those troubleshooting actions first and erase this DTC. • Check Heater fuse. • Turn on the ignition, disconnect the valve V194 and measure the outgoing voltage on the cable between V194-1 and V194-2. If the voltage is >5V, change the BMU. • Change the valve V194
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
Battery cannot be heated which may reduce the hybrid performance when temperature is below 5 degrees Celsius.
Diagnostic depth
The battery coolant temperature does not rise as expected although the heater is activated. The valve current consumption does not correspond to expected levels.
Heater not staring or perfomance is below expected. Inlet and outlet battery temperature sensor connections may be mixed up. The valve is connected but somehow damaged and is not cunsuming power as expected. The coolant valve is stuck in radiator or heating circuit position.
