DCC wrong behavor
• Check for other DTC's from the DCC that could explain the error • Check the 24V cable harness and connector to E84. • Reset DTC • Toggle ignition key to "key off" and await system reset then "key on" i.e. system wake up. • Read out DTC's again • If DTC remains active replace the direct current converter E84.
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
• VOR, 24V not charging. DCC will never be enabled and the BMU will enter error state and the 24-volt system will drain the 24-volt batteries. • Amber warning lamp "24V batteries not charged" and "Hybrid System Fault" is shown in ICL
Diagnostic depth
The BMU (E83) sends a state request to the DCC (E84) and if the requested state is not communicated by the DCC (E84) the DTC is set. Or the DCDC does not communicate the expected signals on CAN (measured VCA voltage missing, or measured VCB current missing).
