Electrical error on Orange CAN.
• Check connectors for the Orange CAN-bus on CMS (pin (B29) and (B32)). • Check wiring for the Orange CAN-bus: o Measure the resistance (with the battery disconnected) between CANhigh (pin B29) and CAN-low (pin B32). It should be close to 60 ohm when all units are connected (one 120 ohm termination resistor in each end of the CAN-bus). o Measure the resistance (with the battery disconnected) between CANhigh on CMS (pin B29) and CAN-high on the other units on the Orange CAN-bus. It should be close to zero ohm. o Measure the resistance (with the battery disconnected) between CANlow on CMS (pin B32) and CAN-low on the other units on the Orange CAN-bus. It should be close to zero ohm. • Check wiring and connector for the ignition signal (pin B38) on the CMS.
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
Functions that depend on the Orange CAN-bus may be degraded. Examples listed below. • ELC functions • Diff lock functions • Fuel-estimation functions
Diagnostic depth
Communication error, electrical error, or buffer-overflow on the Orange CAN-bus.
Defect connectors on CMS for Orange CAN-bus (pin B29 or B32). • Defect wiring for the Orange CAN-bus, open circuit on CAN-high (pin B29) or CAN-low (pin B32). • Ignition signal (pin B38) on CMS is short circuit to supply.
