Consistency check error on node not participating in consistency check function.

â–¶ How to fix

Remove the unit, not matching the rest of the vehicle, and replace it with a unit containing the correct software generation (i.e. correct spare part number). Tip: • Check retrofitted ECU units (if any). • Check the unit most recently exchanged for a spare part.

What you'll see

• A warning (red stop lamp) will be shown in the instrument cluster. • Undefined vehicle behavior (if an ECU software generation does not match the vehicle) • Logging of operation data is disabled when the DTC is active.

Detection

An unrecognized ECU unit has been detected. It does not match this vehicle. A chassis number has been received from a node not participating in the consistency check function.

Possible cause

• An ECU unit with a software not compatible with the vehicle, has been connected to a CAN bus (subCAN1). - E.g. an ECU has been retrofitted, which has a newer software generation, than the rest of the vehicle. - E.g. a spare part ECU has been installed, which has a newer software generation, than the rest of the vehicle. • A CMS unit with a software not compatible with the vehicle, has been installed. - E.g. a spare part CMS has been installed, which has an older software generation, than the rest of the vehicle.
