Timeout on CAN in communication with BDM

â–¶ How to fix

Check the BDM for related DTCs. • Check other ECUs for DTCs indicating time-out from the unit BDM. • Check unit BDM: - Wiring to Supply Voltage (30), System Ground (31), and WakeUp - Check CAN connections • Check CMS::ECU (E113) connection to Subbus2 CAN (wiring and connectors). The battery should be disconnected. - Disconnect harness connector on ECU side, and measure the resistance between pins A35 and A38. It should be approximately 60 ohm (two 120 ohm termination resistors in CAN-bus network).

What you'll see

No driver-visible symptom recorded.

System reaction

• Instrument cluster will display warning(s).

Diagnostic depth
