Faulty EHS flow sensor. The flow sensor indicates high flow even though the pump motor is in OFF state.
• Check connectors and wiring running from the flow sensor. • Check the flow sensor.
What you'll see
• Not possible to detect a fault in the steering system. • A yellow warning ”Steering sensor malfunction” will be shown in the instrument cluster.

Diagnostic depth
The test is only performed if the pump is OFF, i.e. PWM output duty cycle is equal to 25% (pump OFF). The DTC is set to active if the sensor indicates high flow for 2000 ms even though the pump is off. The DTC is set to not active if the sensor indicates low flow for 2000 ms when the pump is off. The DTC is not set in the following cases: • system voltage is below 22V • system voltage is above 32V
• Faulty flow sensor. • Defect connectors or wiring.
