BMS node: timeout in CAN communication.
• Check the BMS for DTCs • If DTCs can not be read from the BMS: - check CAN connection to BMS unit - check power supply and ignition signal to the BMS • Check wiring and connectors for the red CAN-bus • Measure the resistance (with the battery disconnected) between pins B1 and B10. It should be approximately 60 ohm (one 120 ohm termination resistor in each end of the CAN-bus).
What you'll see
• Instrument cluster will display warning(s). • Functions dependent on information from BMS are degraded (examples listed below): - Cruise Control is inhibited - some engine speed control modes ("PTO-modes") are inhibited - instrument cluster display of lining wear (brake pad wear).
System reaction
No system-reaction text recorded.
Diagnostic depth
Communication error. Communication with the Brake Management System (BMS) interrupted.
• Faulty BMS unit • BMS unit disconnected from the red CAN bus
