Diagnostic depth

Detection

Faulty starter lock. Switch detecting if starter key is inserted does not detect a key although ignition is turned on.

Possible cause

• Defect wiring to the key inserted switch (pin A20) - open circuit - short circuit to ground • Defect starter lock - switch detecting if key is inserted is stuck in the position corresponding to no key inserted • Defect wiring to ignition (pin A1) - short circuit to supply voltage
