Clutch pedal does not reach released position.

â–¶ How to fix

• Check clutch pedal mechanism - check that the clutch pedal returns to idle when it is released - check the clutch pedal linkage and return spring • Check wiring (to clutch pedal sensor) • Check connectors (to clutch pedal sensor) • Check clutch pedal sensor

What you'll see

• Changing split gear is inhibited • Activation of clutch dependent PTO (e.g. PTO-EG) is inhibited, when engine is running • Some engine speed control modes ("PTO-modes") are inhibited • Cruise control is disabled (if the vehicle is not equipped with clutch by wire) • Adaptive Cruise control is disabled (if the vehicle is not equipped with clutch by wire)

System reaction

Amber Cruise Control malfunc.

Detection

The clutch pedal does not reach released position. The pedal has been depressed for an implausible long time.

Possible cause

• The clutch pedal is stuck in depressed position • The clutch pedal linkage or return spring are defect • Creeping current due to aeruginous connectors, or wiring and suchlike things. • Defect clutch pedal sensor (potentiometer)
