DTC › COO8 COO8 / 0281

Propeller shaft speed sensor signal does not agree with signal received from TCO node.

â–¶ How to fix

• Check tachograph ECU unit for DTCs • Check wiring and connectors between B6 on TCO and COO

What you'll see

• No obvious reaction, as long as the tachograph sends information on CAN (redundant info from TCO is used) Downhill speed control is disabled Adaptive Cruise control is disabled Collision Mitigation (warning and/or brake assist) will be deactivated.

System reaction

Amber AEB malfunction Amber Cruise Control malfunc.

Diagnostic depth

Detection

Pulse signal from tachograph for propeller shaft speed is missing. No pulses are measured in discrete input although a speed signal is received on CAN. Discrete input is plausibly faulty.

Possible cause

• Faulty discrete output from Tachograph. • Defect connectors, poor contact • Defect wiring: - leakage current between wires or between wire and ground. - short circuit between sensor signal (C1) and supply voltage.
