• Spare part program the COO unit. • Spare part program the BMS unit. • Check the BMS for DTCs • Check the BMS spare part number. Replace BMS unit if BMS SW does not support XBR.
What you'll see
• Instrument cluster will display AiCCMalfunctionWarning (if AiCC enable button is depressed). • Adaptive Cruise Control (AiCC) is inhibited. • AEB auto brake disabled, CW still active. Instrument cluster will display AEB reduced functionality.

Diagnostic depth
The Brake Management System (BMS) does not accept/support External Brake Request (XBR).
• COO configuration fault (configured for AiCC in vehicle without AiCC). • BMS configuration fault (not configured for AiCC). • A BMS unit with software not compatible with the vehicle, has been installed. - E.g. a spare part BMS has been installed, which has an old software generation, not supporting XBR.
