Comfort shift interlock open load or short to battery
â–¶ How to fix
• Check wiring (between solenoid and ECU connector) • Check connectors (on solenoid and ECU) • Check comfort shift interlock solenoid valve unit • Measure the frequency between signal and ground
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
The Comfort shift interlock will be disabled, as long as the fault is present.
Diagnostic depth
Detection
Fault in the Comfort shift interlock solenoid valve circuit. Output voltage is constantly high (PWM expected). Comfort shift interlock solenoid has an open circuit, or is short circuit to supply voltage.
Possible cause
• Defect wiring - open circuit on output signal - short circuit to supply voltage • Defect connectors • Defect solenoid valve
