ICL node: timeout in CAN communication.
* Check the ICL for DTCs. * If DTCs cannot be read from the ICL: - check CAN connection to ICL unit - check power supply and ignition signal to the ICL * Check power supply and ignition signal to ICL
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
• Functions dependent on the ICL may have degraded functionality. * Prohibit steering assistance * Prohibit side assistance * Disables Lane Departure Warning
Diagnostic depth
The DTC is set active if the CAN message TimeDate-ICL has been absent for 5000 ms. The DTC is set inactive when the CAN-message TimeDate-ICL is received. The DTC is not set in the following cases: • ignition is turned off • first 2 seconds after ignition on • system voltage is below 22 volt • system voltage is above 30 volt • short circuit or open circuit on the CAN bus (separate DTCs)
* Faulty ICL unit * ICL unit disconnected from the Yellow CAN bus * COO is not forwarding messages from the ICL to the Sensor CAN bus
