Forward Looking Camera (FLC) sends invalid values.
Check the Forward Looking Camera (FLC) for DTC:s. If DTCs cannot be read from FLC: Check CAN connection to FLC unit Check power supply and ignition signal to FLC Check wiring and connectors for the CAN bus Measure the resistance (with the battery disconnected) between pins B2 and B11. It should be approximately 60 ohm (one 120 ohm termination resistor in each end of the CAN-bus). Measure the resistance (with the battery disconnected) between CAN-high (pin B2) and supply. It should be > 1 megaohm. Measure the resistance (with the battery disconnected) between CAN-low (pin B11) and ground. It should be > 1 megaohm. Disconnect the other ECU units one at the time from the CAN bus and check if the remaining ECU timeout error codes disappear. Spare part program the units which are not configured correctly.
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
Blind Spot Warning (BSW) will be deactivated. Lane Change Prevention (LCP) will be deactivated. Undefined vehicle behavior if an ECU configuration does not match the vehicle.
Diagnostic depth
The DTC is set to active if: CAN message GeneralInfoFLCProp:FLCSensorStatus has values 4-13 (reserved) or 15 (not available) for more than 3 seconds. CAN message GeneralInfoFLCProp:FLCSensorStatus has value 1 (Warming up/Initializing) for more than 7 seconds at startup. The DTC is set to inactive if: CAN message GeneralInfoFLCProp:FLCSensorStatus is received and has value within 0-3 or 14. The DTC is not set in the following cases: • Ignition is turned off. • First 2 seconds after ignition on. • System voltage is below 22V • System voltage is above 32V • When the FLC is in init phase. This may last for 10 seconds after ignition on. • When the FLC is performing SPC (single point calibration). This may last for 8 seconds. • When vehicle speed is under 2 km/h.
The Forward Looking Camera (FLC) has an internal fault. There can also be a combination of the following (unknown fault): • FLC reports internal error or misalignment • FLC sends one or more signals with error status. • FLC unit is not correctly connected to the CAN bus or timeout in CAN communication • FLC or DAS unit is not correctly configured - Spare part unit, which has not been programmed/configured - Unit transferred from another vehicle
