SRR Right Side: timeout in CAN communication
Check SRR units on the right side for DTCs. • If DTCs cannot be read from the SRRs: - Check CAN connection to SRRs on the Right side. - Check power supply to the SRRs on the Right side. • Check wiring and connectors for the CAN bus. • Measure the resistance (with the battery disconnected) between pins B5 and B14. It should be approximately 60 ohm (one 120 ohm termination resistor in each end of the CAN-bus). • Measure the resistance (with the battery disconnected) between CAN-high (pin B5) and supply. It should be high ohmic (Mega ohm). • Measure the resistance (with the battery disconnected) between CAN-low (pin B14) and ground. It should be high ohmic (Mega ohm). • Disconnect the other ECU units one at the time from the CAN bus and check if the remaining ECU timeout error codes disappear.
What you'll see
Functions dependent on information from the SRR may be degraded.
System reaction
No system-reaction text recorded.
Diagnostic depth
The DTC is set active if the CAN-message SystemStatus has been absent for 300 ms. The DTC is not set in the following cases: * Ignition is turned off * First 2 seconds after ignition on * System voltage is below 22 volt * System voltage is above 30 volt
Faulty SRR Unit on the Right side. SRR on the Right side disconnected. Defect wiring to SRR on Right side.
