Reduction of assistance torque due to high motor temperature
Step-1: Switch-Off the ECU. (i.e. Klemme-15 Off) Step-2: Let the ECU cool-down until the motor temperature is < 189°C. Step-3: Power-on the ECU (i.e. Klemme-15 On) after the motor temperature is < 189°C. Step-4: Replace the powerpack if the SPN is still active.
What you'll see
The driver detects the following: The driver might detect reduction in Assistance/Hard Steering due to reduced electrical support.
System reaction
Set the Yellow Lamp to "On". EPS Motor torque reduces to 30%. Degradation of EPS motor torque depending on temperature characteristics.
Diagnostic depth
The DTC will set during the following condition: 1.Motor temperature > 189°C. 2.System state: DriveDown, DriveUp. 3.System voltage is above 6v. 4.System voltage is below 42v.
1. Defective powerpack. 2. Motor temperature above the threshold limit of 189°C (Over heating of PowerPack).
