Steering angle plausibilization error
Step-1: Check the Torque and Angle sensor connections to the powerpack. Step-2: Replace the cable connecting the sensor to the powerpack. Step-3: Check the clutch connection between powerpack and worm gear. Step-4: Perform a Klemme-15 reset (New Ignition cycle). Step-5: Replace the servo unit (powerpack and sensor unit) if the DTC is still active.
What you'll see
The driver might detect reduction in Assistance/Hard Steering due to reduced electrical support.
System reaction
De-activate Active Return functionality. De-activate External Assist Interface functionality. De-activated Software endstops. De-activated Steering assistance. Steering angle set to invalid. Hint: The functionality Active Lane Assist (EAI) provides an interface for controlling the wheel angle via CAN..
Diagnostic depth
The DTC will set during the following condition: 1. Difference between the steering angle from rotorposition sensor and the steering angle from steering angle sensor too high (>50°) 2. Steering angle too high (>1400°). 3.system state: DriveDown, DriveUp, Error. 4.system voltage is above 6v. 5.system voltage is below 42v.
1. Torque and Angle Sensor unit is defect/disconnected. 2. Connecting cable from the sensor to the powerpack is defect. 3. Clutch between powerpack and worm gear is not connected. 4. Defective powerpack.
