Reductant circuit

â–¶ How to fix

Proceed as follows: Carry out the test "Checking the reductant circuit" using SDP3 under EEC3>Inspection>Guided troubleshooting. If the reductant pressure sensor gives too high a value when the reductant pressure should be zero, the test will be terminated. Disconnect the return hose from the reductant tank. Check the reductant pressure using SDP3. If the reductant pressure drops there may be a blockage in the return pipe in the reductant pick-up unit. If the reductant pressure remains high disconnect the reductant doser return hose. Disconnect the return hose carefully because the reductant pressure can be high. Check the reductant pressure using SDP3. If the reductant pressure drops there may be a blockage in the reductant doser return hose. If the reductant pressure remains high check the connectors and electrical cables between the EEC control unit and reductant doser pressure sensor. If the connectors and electrical cables seem intact clean the reductant doser with water. If the reductant pressure remains high renew the reductant doser. When the fault has been rectified the fault code can be deactivated by carrying out the test "Checking the reductant circuit" using SDP3.

What you'll see

No driver-visible symptom recorded.

System reaction

No system-reaction text recorded.

Diagnostic depth

Detection

The reductant pressure is too high even though the reductant pump is shut off.

Possible cause

Possible causes: Fault in the reductant pressure sensor or in its connectors or electrical cables. Blockage in the return hose between the reductant doser and reductant tank. Blockage in the reductant doser.
