Fuel injection for exhaust gas aftertreatment

â–¶ How to fix

Proceed as follows: Carry out the test "Checking fuel injection for exhaust gas aftertreatment" using SDP3. The test is stopped if the fuel pressure in the valve block increases too much when the injection nozzle is opened. If the test is stopped: Check that the air and fuel pressure sensor in the valve block is working, e.g. by increasing and reducing the pressure in the pipe between the air control valve and the fuel injection nozzle.Check the differential pressure sensor. The sensor value must be around zero when the engine is switched off. The sensor must be renewed if it appears to be giving incorrect values.Check the atmospheric pressure sensor by comparing its values with another atmospheric pressure sensor. The sensor must be renewed if it appears to be giving incorrect values. When the fault has been rectified the fault code can be deactivated by carrying out the test "Checking fuel injection for exhaust gas aftertreatment".

What you'll see

No driver-visible symptom recorded.

System reaction

No system-reaction text recorded.

Diagnostic depth

Detection

The sensor which measures the fuel pressure in the valve block for exhaust gas aftertreatment displays too low a value compared with the atmospheric pressure sensor and differential pressure sensors.

Possible cause

Fault in the air and fuel pressure sensor in the valve block, atmospheric pressure sensor or differential pressure sensors.
