Fuel injection for exhaust gas aftertreatment
Proceed as follows: Carry out the test "Checking fuel injection for exhaust gas aftertreatment" using SDP3. The test is stopped if the fuel pressure in the valve block does not increase when the fuel valve is opened. If the test is stopped: Switch off the engine and open and close the fuel valve using SDP3. Check that the pressure in the pneumatic system of the vehicle is sufficiently high. Listen for how the fuel valve opens and closes. Check whether the fuel pressure in the valve block changes when the fuel valve is opened and closed. If the fuel valve opens: Check whether there are any leaks or blockages in the fuel pipes or in the pipe between the fuel valve and the fuel injection nozzle when the fuel valve is open. Check whether the air and fuel pressure sensor is working as it should, e.g. by increasing and reducing the pressure in the pipe between the fuel valve and the fuel injection nozzle. Also check the air pressure to the air control valve by opening the air control valve and checking the air pressure using SDP3. The air pressure should be below 8.6 bar. If the air pressure is higher, there may be a fault in the air pressure regulator for this air pressure circuit. If the fuel valve does not open: Check the connectors and electrical cables between the control unit EEC and the fuel valve. If the connectors and electrical cables seem to be intact, renew the fuel valve. When the fault has been rectified the fault code can be deactivated by carrying out the test "Checking fuel injection for exhaust gas aftertreatment".

Diagnostic depth
The fuel pressure in the valve block for exhaust gas aftertreatment does not increase compared with the air pressure in the system when the fuel valve has been opened.
Possible causes: The fuel valve cannot be opened.Leakage in the pipe between the fuel valve and the fuel injection nozzle. The fuel injection nozzle is leaking or cannot be closed.Fault in the air and fuel pressure sensor in the valve block. The pressure in the pneumatic system of the vehicle is too low.Blockage in the fuel pipe to the fuel valve.Fault in fuel injection air pressure control.
