OEW not working as expected.
1. Restart the ECU and perform a Diagnostic Self-Test. 2. If the fault disappears, and does not return during test drive, it was a sporadic/unusual SW failure. After erase of DTCs, no more actions are needed on the vehicle. If this fault is seen frequently, on several vehicles, please write a Failure Report to Scania. 3. If the fault is still present (active DTC), it is a permanent HW failure. Replace the ECU. Verify that the issue is solved by performing a Diagnostic SelfTest (requires Parking Brake to be applied) - If the root cause fault has been fixed, this DTC will be set passive.
What you'll see
• All functionality dependent on the discrete IO:s are lost. Therefore other DTCs will be set as well. E.g. 0223, 0224, and 0256.
System reaction
Red Steer tag axle fault warn EST in released or fixed mode
Diagnostic depth
The system monitors the OEW (Output Enable Watchdog) feedback signal from HW, and check that it corresponds to what is requested by the application SW. A mismatch has been detected.
1. A temporary/sporadic SW failure 2. A permanent HW failure
