Open load on degradation latch solenoid (DLS).
Check wiring and connectors between the EST::ECU (E112) and EST::CVU::DLS (V198). The battery should be disconnected during measurements. 1. Check connnectors: - Disconnect harness connectors on both ECU side, and DLS side. - Visually check connectors for defects connecting E112 and V198. 2. Check solenoid: - Disconnect harness connector on both ECU side, and DLS side. - Measure the resistance on the solenoid component between pins V198::1 and V198::2. - Should be 6.3 ohm at +20°C - If resistance infinite replace solenoid. 3. Check Wiring - Disconnect harness connector on both ECU side, and DLS side. - Check cable harness for defects. - Measure the resistance in the cable between pins E112::A16 and V198::1. It should be approximately 0 ohm. - Measure the resistance in the cable between pins E112::A18 and V198::2. It should be approximately 0 ohm. 4. Check output from EST::ECU::E112 - Disconnect harness connector on both ECU side, and DLS side. - Connect battery turn ignition ON. - Meassure voltage from E112 output over pins E112::A16 and E112::A18. Small detectable diagnostic voltage level in off state should be present Verify that the issue is solved by performing a Diagnostic SelfTest (requires Parking Brake to be applied) - If the root cause fault has been fixed, this DTC will be set passive.
What you'll see
Only if system starts/restarted the degradation mode will be entrered.
System reaction
Red Steer tag axle fault warn EST in released or fixed mode
Diagnostic depth
Electric connection to solenoid lost.
