SMS timeout in CAN communication
• Check the SMS:ELC and CMS for related DTCs. • If SDP3 cannot connect to SMS:ELC, the fault is most likely in the SMS:ELC. --> Fault trace the SMS:ELC system (e.g. fuse, connectors, and cable harness). • If SDP3 cannot connect to CMS, the fault is most likely in the CMS. --> Fault trace the CMS system (e.g. fuse, connectors, and cable harness).

• Open circuit or short circuit on the Orange CAN bus (in a place that keeps communication between EST and COO alive - unlikely, but possible) • SMS:ELC unit has no power supply • CMS unit has no power supply
