Tag axle lift is not reported correctly by SMS:ELC or CMS
β’ Check the SMS::ELC and CMS for related DTCs. If no related DTCs found in either system, see below. The most likely cause, if this failure occurs at a workshop, is that the SMS::ELC has been set in a higher diagnostic session (e.g. Programming Session) during SDP3 usage. This will cause the SMS::ELC to send signals values N/A (Not Available). In this case no DTC will be stored in the SMS:ELC. The SMS:ELC can be forced to send valid data by performing one of the following actions: β’ Use the tag axle lift / lower button. - e.g. if tag axle is lifted --> press "lift" - e.g. if tag axle is down --> press "lower" β’ Drive the vehicle at speeds exceeding 5 km/h. β’ Perform reset of SMS:ELC by either KWP or starter key.
