CAN-timeout on message Powertrain Control 5
â–¶ How to fix
Clear the DTCs and start the engine. Turn the ignition on and off a few times. If the DTC is set once again, check the wiring and clean the connectors. If this does not help, check that TMS recieves ignition voltage (U15) at the same time as BCI. If everything else is OK, replace BCI and if all else fails replace TMS.

Detection
The expected PTC5 message has not been received for a specified amout of time.
Possible cause
The communication between BCI and TMS is not working correctly. If the DTC has been set once, the reason might be that the BCI has been exchanged or reprogrammed. If this DTC is set frequently, it is probably due to connector or wiring issues.
