System reaction
Initially the last valid selected drive mode shall be maintained. When the error is confirmed (after 5 seconds), a DTC (0x0204) together with a yellow gearbox malfunction warning lamp shall be set. In addition, To switch from Neutral to Drive or Drive to Reverse with a broken gear lever the parking brake shall be applied and the brake pedal shall be pressed for 5 s. To switch to Drive again the brake pedal shall be released and pressed again for 5 s.
