Check the wiring and connectors on TMS (E5) and the Coordinator ECU. Check if the Coordinator ECU has any DTCs and troubleshoot those. If none of the above helps replace Coordinator and then replace TMS (E5).

No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
Engine cannot request retarder to heat up coolant and aftertreatment system.

The CAN-message has not been received for a specified amount of time.

The harness or connectors have an open circuit or the message has not been transmitted by the coordinator.
