Counter error on CAN-message MGEMDS1A from MGUA3

Check if the MGU (E82) has any DTCs and troubleshoot those. Check the wiring and connectors on TMS (E5) and the MGU (E82). If the fault persist renew the MGU (E82), and then renew the TMS (E5).

Detection
The CAN-message contains a sequence counter to ensure data consistency. The software compares the expected counter value to the counter vale contained in the message. A fault code is set if the counter values don't match for a specified amount of messages.
Possible cause
Mismatch in communication between the MGU and TMS. Possible reasons for the fault are faulty MGU software, disturbances on the CAN bus or high load on the CAN bus.
